PAUL ECKE CENTRAL REBUILD

Paul Ecke Central will be rebuilt beginning in the summer of 2026 and is estimated to be completed in the fall of 2027. This project is made possible with funding from Bond Measure Z.  We know how important our school is to the foundation of our community, and are excited to create a space that both students and members of the community can be proud of for generations to come.

PEC students will attend a different EUSD school campus throughout construction. Based on feedback from PEC families and staff, students will be assigned to relocation sites by grade level. Kindergarten through 3rd grade students will attend El Camino Creek, while 4th through 6th grade students will attend Park Dale Lane. This grade-level assignment also reflects careful consideration of space availability, campus layout, and logistical needs at each site. To support this transition, district-provided bussing will be available for all PEC students throughout the construction period. More details on that will be provided in the upcoming school year. We look forward to For more information on the rebuild, please visit the PEC Rebuild page.

Welcome to Paul Ecke Central

Welcome to Paul Ecke Central Elementary School, a beloved neighborhood school located in the heart of downtown Leucadia. As a central part of our vibrant community, PEC is a place where every learner is known, valued, and empowered to flourish.

At Paul Ecke Central, our classrooms are grounded in the Encinitas Union School District Learner Profile, providing students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire them to become innovative thinkers, empowered learners, skilled communicators, confident collaborators, global citizens, and wellness advocates. We are committed to nurturing the whole child and preparing students for success both in and beyond the classroom.

Our school proudly reflects EUSD’s core values of joy, belonging, innovation, integrity, and service. These values guide our work each day and help create a learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired.

A strong culture of belonging and inclusion is at the heart of who we are. We celebrate the unique strengths and perspectives of every member of our community and warmly welcome all who come to Paul Ecke Central. Together, we create a place where students, families, and staff can learn, grow, and thrive.
